Get into the "entrepreneurial loop"

Everybody who wants to be an entrepreneur has to be a "first time" entrepreneur sometime.  At the Wayne Brown conference last week (http://venturecapital.org/), a nearly graduated student who wants to be an entrepreneur asked me how to "get in the loop".  I had to think about that a bit, and realized the networking was the main method.  There are many events, magazines, organizations and publications that help to create and hold together our entrepreneurial community.  Here are the ones that came to mind, in no particular order.

The Governor's Office of Economic Development
goed.utah.gov
Silicon Slopes, a website sponsored by Omniture
www.siliconslopes.com
The MountainWest Capital Network
mwcn.org
The Utah Technology Council (It and LIfe Sciences)
www.utahtechcouncil.org
Digital IQ Magazine
/www.digitaliq.com
Launch Magazine, a free zine for Utah entrepreneurs
www.launchutah.com
Connect Blogs - an amazing blogroll by and for Utah's tech community (Thanks Jordy!)
Read, attend and network at this collection of sites/organizations and you will quickly get to know the people who can and will mentor and help you on the road to entrepreneurial success.
